Not to let down. The modding continues.

Clutch is at McLeod right now, since a clutch fitting was leaking fluid on the disks.

Here you can see what it did to the pressure plate. O_O

I added in this Earl's Performance Solo-Bleed fitting. Omg I love it. Just a few slow and steady presses of the clutch pedal (prior to removal) and it was a perfect bleed.

That fitting facilitated such an easy bleeding process, that I ordered two more for my rear disk conversion kit. After I get done painting the calipers, it will be ready to swap over.

I've my Haltech Elite 2500 in hand, with the wide band controller as well. Need to get the other projects all knocked out, before I can install that.

Before pulling the clutch out, I installed the "race spec" engine mounts.

Heavy duty and weigh less, combined than the OEM ones. 8 pounds. Versus

Single piston? I guess better than drum brakes. Just be sure to use a proportioning valve to reduce pressure on rear brakes, otherwise you'll lock up the rear before the front Everytime, like my Suzuki now. That will make you slide side ways, as if you pulled the hand brake.

What will you do for e-brake?

Awesome on the haltec, can't wait to see how it does. Good luck with tuning it, wish you had tuning fork to help out?

Yes sir. An adjustable proportioning valve is planned on, if testing proves necessary. I feel them a necessary upgrade for track days. I wanted slotted rotors, but those were the only style available through Amazon, at the time.

The kit is a 4Runner conversion from www.sosperformance.com. It comes equipped with e-brake compatibility.

I'd be absolutely blessed to have him ding his fork of tuning mastery on my Elite! One can only wish. Maybe even have the MCM boys go out and do some skids too.

I believe if it fits the taco it should also fit my fortuner. Let us know how it works. I'm very interested in doing the conversion.

Glitches causing changes during updates and flashes. Some catastrophic. All software glitches.

I believe once all parameters are set and sensors working it should be actually easier to tune the elite than intercept piggybacks.

Piggyback units have to deal with tricking the ecu and playing games with it. Which is a handful.

Only thing that I've left to do prior to install is remove one of the wired in inputs from Boomslang, to have an available port for the fuel pressure sensor. Then a "Monkey's your Uncle."

Clutch arrives on Tuesday. It will be good to have the truck back together.

That is the kit from SOS performance, a few posts up. My truck is different from yours though.

They have an XR kit available as well.
