Tomorrow I'm going to help a friend get his UCON flex installed on his TRD supercharged FJ cruiser. He had difficulties installing the cam gears.

I convinced him to buy the UCON, he was considering buying a Unichip and tune it locally. I advised him strongly against it, told him he will be wasting so much money and end up with a poor tune, from experience not many people around here know how to tune a forced induction system especially using a piggy back.

This might be the first time I see the UCON flex in action. Looking forward to it.

Cams installed. Now the owner will handle reinstalling the supercharger and the UCON Flex.

I'll keep you posted on how the tuning goes.

The guy finally got the cruiser running, but had a minor problem with AC compressor vs Supercharger bracketry alignment. The motor is running fine with the UCON Flex, fortunately did not have my problem.

Once he sorts out the alignment issue we'll be getting a final log with URD and then test it and see how it performs.

He has stock exhaust. As for the intake question, I don't know I have not tried it myself. This is a friend's truck, not mine.

Success! FJ runs great, with the UCON Flex. He's excited his tires are braking loose even on second gear.

How this FJ is worked with the UCON?
It's doing great, he just gave me an update today, he's taking it dune-bashing without any trouble at all, and without deflating his tires. The thing as serious grunt now.
