I am going to post this up if someone would like to have one made locally. I am not looking to sell these but I am looking into how much they would cost to make and am going to have at least one made for me.

Coil over bracket V2.JPG

If anyone would like the drawing file I will send it to them. With this file anyone should be able to have this built.

Hi Arcenik, did you get a chance to find out how much it is to latest XII version top mount adapter cost? Thanks!

Is this a "replica" of a XII mount? I know you had been trying to locate one that you could dimension....

I guess you could say it’s almost a replica. I am using my original base plate drawing but using dom tubing for the mounting bolt.

I just got a source on the base plates that’s a resonable price. I am going to order the dom tubing and start looking for a good welder.

You asked for their drawings? Did you really think they'd just hand you the plans for their mounts? They worked on those for a long time, testing them at track days, breaking them and redesigning them. No smart business person would just give away their plans .

Now as that being said, being a staff member, would you be able to inquire with this vendor to see if they are willing to help the XR loyal community with having us assist with finding a source to make the upper plates. This can be done with some type of legal document if necessary to protect their interest with the drawing. I don't believe no one here wants to rip off their hard work developing these. We just want a better suspension on our trucks. Hey, if they had the coilover kit available now, they would most likely sell out, but unfortunately no so the next best thing is this great idea Arcenik came up with.

I've found two potential fabrication guys, one says he needs a minimum of 5 sets the other is now out of town. Saturday 7-28-18.
The one that needs a minimum order of 5 would be having the top plate water cut. He also said the more orders the better his price would be (he would sub out the cutting of the plates)

I would be interested in a set, but what kind of pricing have they given you.

Interested! Only if as you said, he's a craftsman and would be making high quality pieces like the original XII version. As mentioned in this thread, if this part fails, it can be dangerous.
Let me know what the actual design will be. If it's to my liking, I may go in with you for a second set.

Do you if its possible to get more out of it with further modifications?
Seen this guy on ig running mk3 supra coilovers but just running the mounting plates (custom i believe) and is at a 3" drop

At this point its not the top plate it would be the coilover. You could use a shorter spring on the coilovers 10" instead of 12" and potentially get 4" of drop, but at this point you may be sitting on the bump stops and your tierods would be at a very steep angle.

Got everything installed and took it for a short test drive. I still need to work on the alignment, I will be doing that today.

Nice, two questions.
1st. How is the ride of the 550 lbs springs compared to the drop springs you had before?
2nd. What are you going to do with the top plates you had made?

Thanks,
AZ

The ride right now is allot better than before I only took it on one test drive so far, but I am very satified with the results.

For the plates I am ordering the DOM tubing for the mount. I was going to build them, I got a friend that wants one and I will keep one set for myself as a back up.

Also these plates were cut on a water jet, and beside me drawing the bolt holes too small, which was an easy fix any one could do with a drill or just use the smaller bolt, they are perfect.

Ok,
My I ask what they charge for the four plates cut out? I have an awesome welder here in AZ.
Like to know more about the ride across pot hole filled roads / bad roads!
You have 550 in/lbs springs I was thinking about something a little softer 550 / 525 / 500 / 475 / 450...

Thanks again!
