From what I *understand* the 4x4 and Pre-runner use the same rear springs.
I don't have an X-runner just a low life 2015 X-cab w/ a 2.7L manual, (wanting to do a 4L V6 transplant or waiting on URD to have a sale on their SC) I got a little over 2" drop with a set of 2015 4x4 leafsprings that didn't have any miles on them. They just had house paint on them from when the guy had his house painted. And for $75 who's complaining. Yes many 4x4 guys pull out their brand new springs.
Also the guy asking about the QA1's get TS703 Single adjustable. I'm still waiting on my fabricator to finish up the upper mounts & brake line mounts for the front QA1 coilovers.

Ok-cool. So you get a little over 2" drop with the 4x4 leafs [4-leafs]? The QA1 TS703 single adjustables just bolt right in and compensate correctly for the drop? Really curious about your front set-up QA1 coilovers too. Sounds nice.

Yeah I would say the drop was about 1.75" to 2" from stock ride height. For the pretty low price of a set of used 4x4 leafs I would say it's a low risk to at least try them and see. I don't think you would be disappointed with them if you want a lowered truck but still keep it comfortable for daily driving.

I'm confused. Is it the 3-leaf or 4-leaf that was recalled? Other people say its the 3-leaf version.

Two / 2 leafs plus an overload leaf = 3 leafs, these were recalled.
Toyota re-design the rear leafsprings to have three / 3 leafsprings plus an overload leaf = 4 leafs.

Correct. While, low mile 2 leaf + overload will last if they have low miles on them, they will eventually sag.

I have a set of original 4x4 springs in my garage and they have ridiculously low miles on them.

Yes 2015 leafs will fit 2014 Tacoma.

Also from what I *understand* the 4x4 springs will drop the rear of an X-runner approx 1/2”? But I don’t know for sure!
If you pull the springs from your 2014 let me know because I might be interested in them.

Would be nice to get a clarification on the amount of drop for 4x4 springs. 1/2" drop doesn't make it worth-it for me.

Anyone go the route of de-arching there existing springs to get the desired drop? Wondering if that would be a better option.

You will get between 1.5" to 2" drop by replace the stock springs with the 4x4 springs.

I actually did this as well. It was alright for a little while but then the springs started to sag quite a bit and they wouldn't take any weight at all before they bottomed out. My guess is that when they re-arched them it affected the properties of the steel in the leafs and weakened them. I wouldn't do this. Just spend the money on the 4x4 leafs (it was actually about $50 more for me to re-arch) and I don't think you will be disappointed.

You guys know where i can get 3" drop leaf springs (composite/steel)?
Was thinking flex-form however im unsure. I remember this one guy here posting that he was probably the only one running the 3" leaf spring drop but sourced it from xii
Any help is appreciated guys

You can get the 1.75 or 2.25 (whatever the current design is) mono composite drop leafs directly from Flex-Form

Thank you im going to keep searching for those 3" drop leaf but if i cant seem to find them my choice is the 2.25.

If you look at the other tacoma forum they sell OEM 4x4 leafs and just check for your area if they are buying...not sure why you spawn another thread, but I'm sure you can get a low mileage 4x4 leafs there.
