Hm yeah if I run into the 4-5k range, probably won't go that direction. Will probably go black because most of the front of the truck wouldn't have to be repainted. Also, I'm tempted to spray it in my garage. Have the shop do the body work, and I spray it.

I would actually recommend the opposite. I seen my friends pay as little as $1,000 when they brought a ready to paint car to a body shop. They just did as much of the major prep work themselves leaving the shop with the final steps. Paint stripper, bondo, and sand paper are a lot cheaper than commercial grade paint booth and spray equipment

Again, just my experience. It is also a different case if the car needs more extensive ding, dent, rust, body repairs...or you don't have the space or ability to safely transport everything (my case).

Hey BSP06XRU....Just for kicks....Could you do two tone? At the fender/belt line up would be the orange...and below that would be black. Actually follow the line all the way where it dips where the doors/cab is, not just straight across.

Not sure I follow where you want the line...

In the meantime, here's Miguel's BSP & HOK Sunset Pearl 2-Tone X:

Top & bottom flipped, but still orange and black.

More pics before the EVO mod:

stupid MS paint

BSP06 I had see Miguels truck. Nice but not where I was going. I mod'd your picture where I wanted the line, but I can't figure out how to shrink it small enough to upload. Anyhow...the bodyline I was refering to is the line where the fenders bulge...not the flares. follow it where it drops down at the door and then back up to the other fender. Top half orange, bottom ...black.

Damn! I think that looks pretty good! Add an orange pinstrip around the lip of the wheels...... (just a thought, not asking for more photoshop) Opinions?

Pinstripe on the bodyline? Definitely something new. Not quite sure whether I love it or hate it, LOL.

1) Pinstripe on the wheels makes a huge difference tying the two colors! Definitely include that IMHO. May be an additional orange pinstripe just below where the two colors merge? May be different color lug nuts as well? I think that would help balance out the design, including small subtle things of the opposing color in each part...

2) And I am digging the chop from way back in the day. Did someone actually go through with it?

I'd be so jealous if you pulled the trigger! It'd look so sick! My favorite color is orange and have always idolized this guy. I think his name is Miguel, OG X-Runner member.

@Hawaiis Ribbon X , I resurrected this old thread because I was trying to get in touch with BSP06XRU. I'm on Oahu and my truck is going in for paint this weekend but it's not gonna be orange!
