Safety Inspection in Hawaii
Has anyone gone through the new safety inspection process? I have the QA1 shocks, URD exhaust (loud muffler), and K&N air charger system under the hood. Will I be needing a reconstruction permit? -

URD short shifter
After a couple of years, mine got real mushy and felt like the shifter was melting and getting rubbery. Switched to a B&M and it has been working well with solid shifts. I don't think B&M offers them for the Tacoma anymore. I think there is a fix for the rubbery URD. Anyone remember what...- poki

Anyone else having this issue?
I have a 2005, and the windshield leaked when it first experienced some rain. There was a repair bulletin then so it was fixed as part of warranty. I think it was a common problem back then but should have been detected when it first rained. You may have a different problem but might not hurt...- poki

honolulu dealerships and 2005 - 2010 Tacoma TSB List
I got the front windshield fixed since it was leaking under the driver side dash. Also got catalytic converters replaced and clutch squeak addressed. It still squeaked after a period of time but did not take it back in. -

tires???
I went with the BFG KDW's from Costco. Cost was around $850 with the $70 off sale. You have to wait about 2 weeks for delivery since it is a special order item. Very happy with the tires.- poki

Anyone have picture instructions on how to install the qa1's. Just got a pair but wondering how I pull out the stem to full length and what settings are most people using on the 12 click dial. I have a stock height 2005 XR.- poki

Redline 75W90 in 07 Rear Diff
I used the 75w90ns and added 4 ounces of modifier. It still groaned so I added another 4 ounces. Maybe too much now since it still groans but better than with only 4 ounces of modifier.- poki

What differential fluid in a '09
LSD Modifier I changed my rearend oil to the Redline 75W90 synthetic and added a 4 oz container of LSD modifier. The rearend still groaned so I added another 4 oz container of modifier. The rearend still groans especially in reverse and starting out slow in first. Should I add another 4 oz...- poki

Locker additive:
How many containers of LSD did you add? I used the same Redline gear oil (not the MT-90) and so far have added two 4-ounce containers of LSD additives but it is still groaning.- poki
