My ecu is an e40 it's not the most common because it is from an 05 ls2. I use hp tuners, it wasn't cheap but seems to be all I need. I'm not sure that you would have any issues with DBW runaway as long as you use the factory wiring.- kwigs160966

Make sure you get all the electronic components as well as the Ecu. I know a lot of guys run the mega squirt but I'm not entirely sure what the advantage is. Spring wrap
Set the truck on jack stands loosen everything off and make sure there is nothing binding in the suspension. With all the weight sitting on the suspension adjust the the trac bars until they just make contact with the spring and then tighten another quarter turn. Guessing that you have lowering blocks? Track bars could be binding up in the front shackles but make sure they are adjusted as best as you can. What is leading you to believe you have spring wrap? Do you race? The blocks definitely do not help. And I don't think x runner leafs would help...- kwigs160966

Yeah I have cal tracs. I have to work on the setup a little I think, between the track bars, the tire pressure and the shocks. I have to find the right settings. I might swap out the single adjustable qa1s for doubles at some point. Also thinking about 4.10s vs the 3.73 gears I have- kwigs160966

I have a bunch now lol. Best so far is 8.4 in the 1/8th reaction time wasn't all that great in this one if I can figure out how to get the 60' down a little lower I think I could get 8.0. I am going to get a cam and I take for next winter. Hopefully next season I can get it to 7.5- kwigs160966

Also did some bracket racing this weekend. I'm really starting to get the truck dialed in, I will upload some videos when I edit them a little. 8.4 in the 1/8th mile. Should be good for around 13 flat in the quarter. The motor is stock and rated at 400hp- kwigs160966

I performed a little weight reduction on the x last week. -spare tire -58.8lbs -jack/wrenches -5.2lbs -rear floor mats and rear seat belts -7.2lbs -a/c compressor (ls2 not 1gr) -18lbs She weighed in at 3600lbs with 1/4 tank of gas so 3790 with me in it.- kwigs160966

Honestly your best/cheapest option is to pick up a 5.3 and put a turbo kit on it. If you do some searching you can find a 5.3 from a Chevy Silverado for probably less than 500$ And with some fabricating skills and a little welding you can push 800-1000hp very easy and probably for under 5000$...- kwigs160966

What did you have in mind for connecting the lines to the stock firewall ports? I've seen some blocks for connecting to the ax compressor. Does the harness use the factory controls as head unit as well? Sounds interestig- kwigs160966

I th Pretty sure you would have to buy a new clutch setup from URD the fly wheel should work just fine but the input splines on the t56 are different than the 1gr transmission. If you can find an ls3 rather than an ls2 it might be a better option. The ls2 was only made for a few years and the ls3 had a longer run giving it a few more options for adding things like an lsa supercharger.
