New throwout bearing already failing
So, has Toyota fixed the problem in new production or is my 2013 going to have the same issue? I've been thinking about buying the Toyota extended warranty before my factory warranty is up.- 87aaron

Stock tire issue
Yeah, it's the stock tires. They did at least attempt to balance them as they chipped the wheel finish taking the weights off. The have a road force balancer which should catch out of round. Out of round should also vibrate consistently.- 87aaron

Stock tire issue
2013 X with 11K miles and stock wheels and tires. The truck feels like it has a balance issue - vibration from around 40-50 mph and from 70 on up. But, it is intermittent. Stock 2013 on G-Tech Pro
Keep in mind my 4 cyl was a 99 2.4 5 speed reg cab 5 lug. It may have been down 100 hp, but it was also more than 1000 pounds lighter.- 87aaron

Actually the GTech is pretty good if setup right. Luckily the stock torque peak is 266 at 4000. That converts to 202 flywheel hp at 4000, which would be right around 160 net hp after driveline and wind resistance loss. So my run as per the GTech instructions produced good results. Still...- 87aaron

Did some math - 266 ft lbs at 4000 rpm is 200 hp. 20% driveline and wind resistance loss would put 160. I guess I'll have to find more road for a full pull and 1/4 mile.- 87aaron

I know my testing is flawed, but I'm scratching my head at the results. Yes, the G-Tech is not perfect, but I've always had it test relatively close in both times and hp if setup correctly. The truck is a stock 2013 with 1800 miles on it. I've always felt it's slower than low 15 sec, but...- 87aaron

Seat covers for 2013
Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but I really want to get seat covers now as I somehow got a small stain on the passenger seat. Wet Okoles are too expensive and I don't need neoprene. Touch Screen Service Mode
That's a waste of a good screen. I've heard you can use a bluetooth OBDII dongle and send that info to the screen on some cars. Haven't looked through mine yet as I haven't taken delivery yet. I have looked through the manual on my dad's 2013 Pre-Runner and it is pretty bad. It says you...- 87aaron

Touch Screen Service Mode
Is there a service mode for the 2013 touch screen audio? IE, can you press a sequence of buttons to see TPMS, live data, etc on the touch screen? The other Toyota touch screens seem to let you view MPGs, TPMS, service intervals, but not the Tacoma.- 87aaron
