Me and a guy on Facebook are trying to setup something in Beaumont for August 23rd. It's a Saturday and go to the track that night. If anyone is interested San Antonio is just too far for me.
So I hope this will be set in stone soon with a date and all... It's really hard for me to do anything working on a boat and all so that way I can plan around this..
I don't have deep pockets by any means but I would love to do it. The engine tranny combo is just as much as the Ls. But the work may be more but I would love to stay toyota altogether.
I'm still tempted to do the 2jz swap man. I just want to see it done first but then again I would like to be different... Like I said I don't have time to do it but I want someone with reputable work to do it for me since I don't have the time.
From my personal opinion I would go t56 for the reason they are plentiful. And are still 6 spd. Plus I would do it because I plan on going ls1 eventually.
I been looking at an ls1 swap seems pretty legit. But I work on a boat and never have time to do it myself if I could find a reputable shop to do it for me once I pay my truck off.
Has anyone done this or thought about it? I am thinking it would be an awesome swap to see. Thinking about doing this myself once my motor goes or I get enough money to do it.
