Spec U Headers Installed...need more power
Got rid of mine a while ago. Tried different mufflers, resonators, loosen this, tighten that, new gaskets blah blah... Threw a bunch of time and money at the thing and the best solution was simply to ditch it and build my own 3 exhaust. I don't miss the change in performance or the horrible...- bobber bill

Put a couple more miles on it today. The rasp and hiss have definitely subsided substantially. The exhaust sound has gotten a bit louder, and more trumpet-like. It sounds better the harder you drive. Cruising drone is no more an issue than before. There is some resonance left but significantly...- bobber bill

I tried the new muffler today and was much happier with the sound. It is the Magnaflow 14719. The new muffler hasn't eliminated the rasp completely. It just sounds way better so the rasp is less noticeable.- bobber bill

Typical Gadget response. If one of my suggestions doesn't fix it, it's your fault. I've sold a hundred and you're the only one complaining..... etc... I had JBA long tubes, custom y-pipe and a Magnaflow cat back with a Vibrant resonator which was the single best Tacoma exhaust I had ever...- bobber bill

Spec U Headers Installed...need more power
The resonating is part of it. I'm getting a really loud and unpleasant metallic hissing sound. I have a different muffler on order which I'm hoping will help. I've gone back and tightened all the connections, including the header brackets and checked for leaks multiple times.- bobber bill

Just installed my URD spec-U exhaust today and I am also getting a hideous rasp anytime I'm on the gas. Mine's not rubbing on anything, I'm using new URD gaskets etc... The Magnaflow exhaust I had before had no issues...- bobber bill

I have a narrow band a/f gauge, 12.8 at WOT. TRD reflash done. Spoke to Gadget a couple times on the phone and he said the MAF CAL would be a good solution when dyno tuned by Autowave. They said that they do a lot of tuning for people that he sends them. Just to clarify, how did I lose low...- bobber bill

Good to hear that the fitment issues only affect double cab trucks. Mine shouldn't be an issue then. I have the URD Maf cal for the time being but that can change anytime. I was told that it would be sufficient for my expectations. If I already have a free-flowing y-pipe and add a 3" cat...- bobber bill

Naturally Aspirated Horsepower & Supporting Mods
If you pull out a couple stock fuel pumps and filters, you will see that it is worth it. Dyno tuning an ECU after headers is a waste of money, unless you don't plan on more mods. Wait until you install more parts. Just disconnecting and capping off the coolant lines to your throttle body. It's...- bobber bill
