It's working great on mine so far. The water (distilled+water wetter) temp is a good 30 degrees cooler than before. Not sure what if any gains that equates too as I'm already using a water+methanol injection kit too. But maybe it will help with the added heat of the smaller pulley.
Nope no heat, that is a downside for some I'm sure but it is easily reversible. You are essentially using the heater core as a secondary heat exchanger but because of the AC that is crossing it the water drops a good deal below ambient.
The AC can be used to dramatically reduce temps within the system and then be shut off. It also isn't engaged at wot. There really isn't a downside to it unless you find yourself in a freak blizzard.
That would add more weight and complexity. Plus there's no refilling any ice. Just turn on the a/c and you're good to go. I was considering a bed mounted tank prior to this though.
Hey guys, I've never actually posted anything but I recently did a low buck mod on my XRunner I thought may interest you. I apologize if this is old news. I had been looking at a lot of intercooler ice boxes and the Kincaid killer chiller kit and on some other forums I had seen guys talking...
Is swapping a more cost effective method compared to making good power (500whp) in the X? I was considering turbo'ing my 1gr, but would really like to be satisfied with the end result.
