I really like the OEM one that some of you guys have, the aftermarket one that is in the works I'm not sure I would like to much. I am one of those people that likes to see the finished product before I buy, peace of mind I guess...
I would be interested in buying a spoiler too.
found this on ebay. not sure if it will work on our turck
i would love to h ave a repo of the factory spoiler. the chevy one is not to bad but factory looks way better.
Nope, u would need to lengthen it plus our tailgate is thinner then the Colorado's
What the hell? Why do companies do that to cool stuff? :eviltongue:
O.k. I couldn't find the dimensions for their tailgate.
A little birdie took pics of it resting on our tailgate showing what needs to be done
If it looks like the stock trd as long as I can see how it would look before purchase I wouldn't have a problem, can't buy a car before you see what it looks like? So I will never buy something that's just in the air IMO
IMO Toyota discontinued their tailgate spoiler because it was cracking on the edges. Every one I ever saw was cracked. You couldn't see it unless you opened the tailgate (if I remember correctly) but it still would be classified as a defective design if you had a high failure rate.
Don't worry, we're working on our improved replica
Here's a pic of what Klint was talking about:
mine did that too. not sure how to fix it.
don't all of them do that? I think its because the tailgate flexes and the cracks happen.
if you guys find out how to make one..im in to buy one. they look bad ass on our trucks:rockon:

what city are you in? if you are in so cal we could meet to make the mold...
Already got one, thanks though.
What causes the crack is your butt. When you sit on your tailgate, your legs drape over the edge of the spoiler. This weight acts as a lever and causes the cracks.
For me it was my Pastor. He was helping me move a dresser drawer into the truck. I told him to lift it and not lean it against the edge of the spoiler... he didn't.
