I'm kicking around options for wheels and tires and would prefer to go with 19" wheels. I also like the meaty tire look (no rubber bands), and would like to stay close to the 4.52 inch sidewall of our stock 255/45/18 tire. Has anyone run a 255/45/19? The tire calculator says it will be a 28.04" diameter (vs 27.04" stock), which is a 3.7% difference. I'm thinking I would not feel much performance difference with an effective 3.7% increase in gearing, but I might be crazy. I know I could run a 275/40/19 and get close to stock sidewall (4.33") as an option but looking for some feedback. Any experience with larger diameter tires?
