Black/Clear Mix for tint

What ratio did you guys use when mixing your tint. I've heard 70-30 clear to paint, but I've also heard 80-20 clear to paint......Got a guy down the street that's gonna do mine up, just want to make sure I'm getting the mix right.

How many coats before I remove the tape? How many coats after? How many coats of clear?

Is what you do is mix a 9 to 1 ratio of clear to black. (10% black) Mix it into a spray gun then spray on your tail lights. The more coats you put, the darker it gets. Let them dry for an hr or 2 and you are done

BTW: There is no need to tape them off if you are worried about light output. With this mixture, you can go BLACK and not have an issue with light output
