Ok, my imput.....Was he going perhaps a little faster or even plain faster than he should have? Yes....There is no actual imput on his side of the story in that tidbit of info. Further information might prove me wrong or right but he was speeding without his lights but that car turned without even looking or had that intention of beating him. I hate seing stuff like this happen but I must agree with a few other members.....Bad decisions on both parties....should the cop die? No, why the hell would you wish death on someone for a mistake or even on purpose without right to council, etc? shame....

---

Just because you witness a cop somewhere doing something you wouldnt agree with doesnt mean all cops are crap btw.....Everytime a cop thread comes up, someone ends up posting some bs about how cops are bad etc and do stuff. So what I really gather is nearly most people here have committed some form of traffic violation in some form or another and they got busted.....what bothers them most is that cops do a similar stunt and dont get busted so they get butthurt about it.

Maybe he had a good reason. Did you ever think of that. Of course, you didn't. You are so fast to condemn.

What if fresh donoughs were coming out at Dunkin donoughs or the local favorite donough chain. What if he was going to be late to clock out for the day. Maybe, he was late to escort the local gangsters with their drug shipment. Next time, think before you comdemn one of our finest.

By law, if a cop is going 20+ the speed limit, they are supposed to have their lights on. Looks like the 2 people thought they could make the turn cause they didnt know how fast the cop was REALLY going. Sad story

first condolences amen brother furthermore i know on a first name basis 7 officers in my area one of which is a seargent. also i am not saying in this thread to condem or exohnerate officers just asking opinions on a specific accident. also it has been proven that 20% of officers wanted their jobs to protect and serve the community = good cops. 80% of officers wanted a job only= not ussually good cops. of the 80% who just wanted a job 76% end up becoming "bad cops" who abuse their power . The other 6% are just buisness oriented. this statistic does not include special units like k-9 csu ctu bomb squad swat etc just basic traffic cops

Today, I was doing 70 on IH10, and I was being passed on the access road by a cop going much faster than me, maybe 90 plus. He didn't have his siren on and he didn't have his lights on. I wanted to see where he was going but I had to go over the overpass and as I looked back, I couldn't see him any more.

What really scared me was when the cop came down the access road, a one way road, in the opposite direction at night. He didn't have his lights on and he didn't have his siren on. I didn't expect to see anyone come over the hill going the wrong way on a one way road. He went past me about two blocks and turned to his left. I never figured out what he was trying to do, maybe take a short cut. Had there been a donough place over there, I would have understood but there isn't one in that direction.
