The supra was the first of the sports cars I was around growing up. It is my dream car. and hopefully in about 3 or 4 years I'll buy one. and my plan is to get a black one to paint it BSP. targa top with the TT and 6 spd tranny.

I voted for Supra.

Why?

Several simple reasons.

Engine is still being produced and parts are relatively cheap; easy to make power. A Brand new fully assembled short block is $2300 at my local Toyota Dealer, Champion Toyota in Austin
Body does not need any kit put on; several stock bodied Supras have went 220+mph at the texas mile
Less expensive than an NSX
My Dream Car for the last 10years.

Acura made the NSX all the way up until 2006 I believe...

Supra for me.

The NSX is a nice car but im a power junkie and the 2Jz has what it takes. And i dont do autocross so i wouldnt take advantage of the superior handling on an NSX. I would however use the power in the supra at the track or not.

I have mixed feelings on both.

NSX - It handles real well and it looks exotic. And those things with cams and supercharger are a BEAST!!!!!

Supra - Power junkie!!!! Thats all I can say. You can take a stock block up to around 700 hp with no problem at all. Parts are easy to come by and cheap.

But I'm not a power head, I would rather looks. So I'll go with NSX

EDIT: ADDED SOME SPECS TO THE FIRST POST

NSX... a drop dead sexy MR, pure sports car. its light and nimble, and can absolutely scoot around a track.

2 very closely match rides in there stock form. But I'd choose the more rarely seen NSX.

I couldn't find the other one, at the time, but I think its a more of an even comparison. Thats why I compared the 1998 NSX with the 1998 Supra. B/c they stop making supras in 98.
