I have to upholster a sub box and carpeting it is out of the question.... I'd like to cover my box in suede with a 1/4 inch of foam underneath, to soften up the corners ,with red stitching . Problem is I'd rather get it done by someone who knows what they're doing ,but I can't find said individual so I'll probably be doing it myself . How hard would it be for me to do this myself? Here is what it looks like ....

I think with vinyl you may have to stitch the seams in order to get the look right. I've never worked with it personally, so I am not positive on that.

Thread moved to interior section.

I brought my box to an upholstery place and explained to the lady what I wanted and she did an awesome job. Just bring the box to them and explain how you want it.

Yeah doing it yourself would be a pain to make it look right. I have worked with suede many times doing headliners and trust me its hard to make it look good. Your will easily get wrinkles if your not careful. But having a shop do it will be spendy but it might be better that way if you don't want the headache

I'm thinking maybe faux suede would be a better option ... It's less expensive and seems like it would be more durable

That box would be easy to do, use spray adhesive on the back of the suade and the box and pinch the material together on the edges then cut it with scissors. It turns out great!
