I've been looking around for a shift knob for the X and i found one i like, but on sparco's website it says that it is "compatible with revers lockout collars on manual transmissions"

What does this mean? and will it work on the X?
here's the link: http://www.sparcousa.com/product/globe

"compatible with revers lockout collars on manual transmissions"

What does this mean?

Those are the ones that have a sleeve around the shift rod that you can usually pull up with 1 or 2 fingers to allow the rod to go into the reverse gate. We dont have that.

It will fit the X.

"Compatible with reverse lockout collars on manual transmissions" just means it's short and won't get in the way of the RLC if yours has one... and ours don't.

The Sparco shift knob you posted doesn't have threads.
It's a universal fit. It comes with Allen head set screws.
