Since the return line sees almost no pressure, even with the pump, you can get a 50psi rated hose from Autozone or Oriley's. The Feed line however should be a much stronger one though. At least 100psi rated. That is cutting it very close though, since under acceleration the pressure can get higher. Look on SummitRacing.com for Russell Performance hose. Should be rated to 350 psi.
Well I realized that I was young and stupid to try and turbo a stock tacoma with an auto.
I picked up a car that would be my turbo project, and since has turned into a 400whp meth injected Bmw.
Just thought Id update this, mostly out of boredom.
No Im saying I was inexperienced at the time to tackle a build on my tacoma. So I got a car that would be a good learning platform so that in the event of engine breaking it would be stupid cheap to fix.
Id love to supercharge the taco at some point but for this car keeps me busy.
Considering I can get a used engine for 400+/-, the cost of the parts alone are 1/3 of a Urd kit. Its much much cheaper, plus its rwd and 2600 pounds. Doesnt mean Id love to have a FI setup on the taco, This car has been boosted for 3500 miles with no issues. Currently at 15psi with a methanol setup being injected straight into the inlet of the turbo. Planning on going up to 20psi soon, My friend and I tune it ourselves should be around 460ish whp then.
