Here's how the grill looked this morning. I started on the custom Grill work today. Removed grill, and cut out all plastic in the middle and in the little triangles on the side. I then did a rough sanding and generally smoothed things out to get the shape I wanted. When I got everything cleaned up I filled in the two large holes with a fiberglass repair kit. It will sit like this till Wednesday. I also cut the plastic from the opening in the lower grill and smoothed out that as well. There were two small holes on either side and I closed them up with fiberglass as well. I also removed this black plastic piece that sits under the license plate in the first pic It was painted underneigth, so off it stays, should look much better. I did scratch it when I a broke a saw blade cutting out the lower grill, but its not too bad, and not real noticeable. Wednesday brings filler, primer, paint and hopefully everything back together. I'm still not sure on how I'm going to attach the grill material. Should look very sick when I'm done.
