Its desert season and my fabricator works at a buggy shop. Hes been swamped for weeks. Absolutely nothing has been done to it. I might start on a bit of wiring, maybe see about getting the harness sent out this week.

The wiring, fuel, gauges, electrical, shifter, clutch, shifter, engine and trans mounts, exhaust....

Yah...its kinda all done. Truck runs, everything is done. But...the driveshaft isn't done yet. Hopefully this week it will be done.

This weekend calls for rain, but first drive should happen this weekend regardless of weather. :top: don't expect any meaningfull accell vids. I'm also rocking stock gears for now. I got a drift event end of march, thankfully its a 2nd gear track so I should be fine with stock gears. Still need a cage. So cage is coming before gears:top:

At my fabricators place. Engine and trans are in.

Radiator mounted

Battery relocation

Exhaust dumps before axle. 3" header back. Simple y pipe.

Off truck

Wire harness

Oil leak fix. #chevyproblems

How it sits now. Every thing under the hood done.

Interior put back "together" minus entire hvac unit.

Few things I did change was i modified my lower engine cross member, to allow the deeper higher capacity 5.3 h3 alpha oil pan to fit.

Running stock gto clutch for now.

Like I mentioned above, stock gears for now.

So yah...just waiting on driveshaft. Hope this proves I'm not an xtroller.:eviltongue:

Cell video doesn't do justice. At idle its very tame. It gets freaken nasty higher up in the rpms. Sounds like 'murica. Lol

Its properly fast. ****ing love it.

I am having an issue with the clutch sticking to the floor during high rpm shifting, as you saw in the video.... Only happens during high rpm. Quick google search shows a few possible problem areas.

> improperly shimmed TOB (thanks gadget for that heads up!)
> Bad tob/slave. (Mines brand new...)
> failing pressure plate on stock clutch (high possibility based upon symptoms)
> Bad Master (oem toyota one has only 20k on it)
> Air pocket. Unlikely due to only happening at high rpm. But will pressure bleed system.


Other then master and bleeding, all of them involve dropping trans. So if I'm gonna do that, might as well do everything.

Looking into a upgraded clutch, Probably almost full race, something strong that can hold up to my abuse. Replace the tob and slave, shim it to spec and of course rebleed the system.

Just waiting on tax return. Since the truck drive perfect around town, I am actually daily driving it. Boy, did I miss it. Literally going from an automtic civic to my baby with 4xs the power. Holy crap it is so much fun!


Considering this was major undertaking and it appears to be working for the most part, I'm pretty proud of my self. It was one helluva learning experience. Lol

Power output on paper was probably similar. The way it is delivered on the ls...best way to describe it is brutal.:blurock: It seem s to have loads more power up top. Doesnt want to stop pulling.
