i wasn't sure where to post this but it seems like it could be a common question. How much does a used trd s/c typically go for? fresh rebuild with complete fit kit, trd intake, trd injectors, heat exchanger, pump, etc. I am looking to replace with a centrifugal

I'm sure a TRD blower will go higher than you think since they don't make them anymore. Magnuson makes them now without the TRD logo though. Food for thought

With 10K miles, URD 2.85" pulley and a service I would probably list mine for $4000 with everything since I'd swap the ECU for something with the OEM tune (stupid Toyota).

Jump on that Urd mk2 for sale for 2500. Will make way more power than a Trd and will cost you less since Trd discontinued the Trd supercharger everyone will think they're sitting on a gold mine with them.

Edit: now that I reread your post it seems like you're trying to SELL your Trd and get a Urd lol. But yes. They will sell for more money because there are tons of people out there that will buy it just for the Trd name since its discontinued.

Ecu swap is not easy and will cost more money than it is worth... If you sell the sc leave the ecu and TRD injectors and call it a day.. If needed you might have better luck trying get to make stock injectors work with a maf cal

Well anyone want to buy my kit lol. I'm going to buy a new URD mk3 if it sells. All I'm asking for is the oem surge tank and injectors in return. 1 year warranty on the fresh rebuild by The Highspeed Lab in Imperial, Missouri.

I've seen used ECUs for a decent price. Probably get the passive anti theft programmed for an hour of labor.

It is more about the Vin being programmed into the ecu not the security. .. If you search it here there are some threads that go into more detail..

It's not a simple ecu it's pretty locked down it will be more than a hour of labor...

At Toyota we can program an ECU in less than 15 minutes. I have never heard of anyone else being about to reprogram or reflash an OEM ECU without Techstream

I imagine you're talking about a brand new one that's never been programmed before. We've been under the impression that the TRD reflash is an end game. Once it's on the ECU there's no going back.....

i believe he is referring to buying a used stock ecu and doing a reflash to make it work with a "new" truck.. not undo the TRD flash..

but still same thing you mentioned.. i have been under the impression that once an ECU is coded for a truck it is a PITA to reprogram it for a new vin number.. can it be done yes.. i thought it cost some cash.
That was the same reason i didn't buy a new ECU when i wanted to use the MAP ECU2.. for what ever reason the map ecu it not happy with a TRD flash and it is easier to sell the MAP ECU2 and go x1 or ucon then buy a different ecu for the truck and have it reprogrammed.

But on a side note the TRD supercharger is gong to be tougher to get working on the trucks as time goes on... OP if you are looking for used boost that URD for 2500 is the way to go :)

Well I haven't experienced removing the supercharger tune from an ECU, but I am positive that Toyota would have left a door open for Techstream to reverse the supercharger tune. If you've ever seen what the calibration ID update page looked like you'd understand. As long as the calibration ID is applicable to that vehicle, you could upload it.

I was warned many times by my dealer that the flash was not reversible. Owners that got the pinging TSB couldn't get the supercharger because Toyota couldn't flash in the TRD super rich tune after the ECU had the TSB in it. Ask around on it.
