Windshield tint strip

I am wanting to place a radar detector above my mirror. On the factory windshield there is a tint here. It looks like it may be a metallic dot tint. If it is metallic, it may interfere with the radar detector operation.

Does anyone know if this tint is metallic?

You should have the radar place in clear glass, the tint will mess things up and wont be accurate

just a suggestion for u.. flip ur mirror (rotate 180 degrees) push it up towards the roof and then re-align it to ur sight. the put the radar on the left of the mirror and the sight on the radar will be exactly where u need it to be and out of the way. im crazy about having stuff interfere in that area when im driving. try it out! hope it works:top:
