Checked that fuse and it was fine. I replaced it any ways, still not staying started. I'm gonna give g a call now.

So it turns and starts? Also did u check ign 2?

I did and it looked good. I got a code reader and its throwing codes p0351 thru p0356. Ignition coil malfunction. I checked the fuses for these as well. I'm going to pull the ucon off tomorrow after work to see if it will start with out it and go from there. G what do you think

Remove the neg bat terminal for 20 minutes, reconnect and see if starts or not.

I removed the neg terminal for a half hour and then gave it a shot. My battery is dead and I need a jump to try and start it and unfortunately I don't have my jumper cables with me. Ill try tomorrow after work. My battery was charged its just been sitting a few days and I have been trying to start it in cold weather plus me and my wife were listening to the radio for about an hour or so with the truck off.

Oh hell you may need to test your alternator and battery check your main fuse the big one. I would lean towards an alternator I had this happen once just cruising along then pood out on me

Well, I charged the battery and threw it in and still will not stay started. I remove the ucon and tried again with the same results and a new code p0102. Maf voltage. I'm wondering if my sensor is shot? I checked all the fuses again as I'm still showing codes for ignition coil malfunction 1 thru 6. And ideas anyone?

I would replace all three EFI fuses. Don't check them, replace them.

Two in the engine fuse box, and the one in the dash.

If that does not do the trick replace the EFI relay in the engine fuse box.

If that does not do it start tracing the ground wires from the MAF and the coils. They should all join up at a common ground point. Make sure that has not come loose or is corroded.

So I swapped the fuses with new ones. Took the maf sensor off and cleaned it w/ crc maf sensor cleaner. I checked all the wires to plugs and connections. Got some air spray and cleaned connections. I took the throttle body off and cleaned that with crc throttle body cleaner. Checked all the connections on coil packs and ground. Now I'm going to try to get my hands on an efi relay, Preferably denso brand, swap this out then if it still doesn't work maybe try a new maf sensor. Any thoughts.

Yep go to AutoZone for your relay they have denso. If that doesn't work then do that maf..have you ever cut into your maf wires?

We removed the maf extension when he went in for "warranty work". Try unplugging the maf, the truck will start without it. If it starts, you can conclude it/wiring is the cause.

So I went to auto zone to try and get a efi relay. They don't carry them. Went to napa and the same. So I'm gonna have to go to the dealership to get one.

My maf wires have been cut in the past when I ran the urd tcai. When I took the x in for warranty work me and Kevin soldered the wire back to stock. Yesterday I undid all the tape and inspected the solder job and all wires look good and are holding strong. Re taped and cleaned maf and throttle body
. I just unplugged the maf and tried starting the truck and it started and then died a few seconds later.
So I'm looking at new efi relay and then maybe if that don't work maybe fuel pump relay/fuse, new ignition coils, maf sensor?? I'm unsure what the problem is at this point.

The engine will start without the MAF plugged if you do not have the UCON installed.

Given it fired then stalled might indicate the anti theft system is acting up.

It is the maf sensor, if the truck actually RUNS with it unplugged

Wouldn't the security light on the dash continues to flash if it was a issue with the anti-theft system??

I, my self have only seen (what drama is a experiencing) the newer keyless entry push button cars do the start for a few seconds then die. Typially an issue with one of the smart key codes, the last one if i recall. The ecu gives a 2second grace period where while its checking all the codes, it allows for spark/fuel to be delivered, to cut down on cranking time :top: If the last code doesn't match, then it kills the ignition.
