Throw out bearing?

I recently noticed that when in neutral I hear a pretty good squeal/squeak and it stops once I engage the clutch and starts again when I disengage it. Is this my throw out bearing going bad? If so, how long can I expect to be able to drive like this? Is the URD upgrade/repair kit the best solution?

Mine is going out as well it was chirping really bad about 6k miles ago, but I stopped riding the clutch as much and it went away for the most part. I still hear it sometimes for a second when I push down on the clutch. I was going to go the URD route as well let me know how it goes.

That is your throwout bearing. I would get it fixed as soon as you can because it can damage the input shaft on the transmission. And yes, the URD one is the best option. I have it on my truck.

did toyota not fix this issue with installing the redesigned fork on the 10s and up? This is the best copy of the tsb that was done on mine back in 2010..hope this helps yall out..i havent had the problem since.

I put a new one in mine when I did the clutch, and it started sqeaking again in no time. I wish I had used the urd one, its a nice piece.

Pulled the trigger on the urd TSK, so I'll let everyone know how it turns out after I get it installed.

Doing the install today and it's proving to be a bitch. Practically taking the whole truck apart...

Got it done and put back together and I have to say it is 100% better. The clutch is buttery smooth compared to what it was and no more squeak.

mine has been doing it for a month im taking it in next week to get it fixed, thank god for warranty
