It depends on the resonator that you get. I have one that I plan to use on one side of the Y pipe but if that's where his was I don't want to waste my time.

To me it would seem the most advantageous position would be one on each side, where the stock rear cats would be.

That's pretty much the location I plan on installing mine but I wanted to check with bobberbill on his placement first. I think he just added another resonator in after the Y merge

This is what Coupe did with his APR equal length Y-pipe. It made it sound terrific.

Good to know. :top:

Shoot, now that I think about it, I may put a couple bullet cats in those spots to try to cut down on the black smoke a little. High flow cats should have about the same noise dampening effect.

To be honest, I would have to dig up his post about because I cannot remember if he installed high flow cats, or resonators? I want to believe that it was high flow cats.

UPDATE: I finally got around to installing the 2.25"X12" OAL vibrant resonator in the redesigned section of the spec-U system that G sent me. No more God awful raspy chatter whatever you want to call it. I am going to install a second one in the drivers side because I can still hear some resonation but nothing like it was. I will do a full thread once it's in and the issue is solved for good

Helped reduce the amplitude of the obnoxious sound waves while retaining the nice tones, eh?

I feel like the tone is slightly deeper but a very nice purr. I should have the new resonator by this weekend and if not I'll have it installed by next weekend and I'll get some pictures of the whole thing and some sound clips as well.
