70mm vs 76mm throttle body upgrade

I've been reading a lot of the threads about the URD throttle body adapter. Most of the information about the adapters is about the 76mm one. I haven't seen much about the 70mm. I am seriously considering the upgrade, but the whole idle problem that occurs concerns me. Is the problem the same with the 70mm? Is there really much of an increase in power from the 70mm? Any input on the matter would be appreciated. Thanks!

The 70mm is easier because it fits up to everything. The 76 requires a new boot.

go big or go home. i have the 76mm. installed it when i put the supercharger on so cant really tell u how different it feels

I'm running the 76mm. I ran into a leak at the TB and adapter interface initially. And I've also had an intermittent P0505 code. I got my TB second hand some I'm not sure if the TB is sticking or if I still haven't knocked out the leak 100%. But the butt Dyno says I got a small bump in hp. My AFRs and fuel trims seem to be on par, maybe still a bit rich at certain RPM ranges. I'd recommend the upgrade. Cheap power if you can get the TB at a reasonable price.

Did you ever figure out what was wrong with this?
I'm getting the same code after doing the 76mm TB upgrade. I put silicone between the TB and adapter plate and used a new gasket between the adapter and the supercharger, so I don't think it would be a leak. It idles high and has some strange idle fluctuations as well as hanging onto to the rpms when I shift.

i did the same 76mm upgrade. never had a code. but took forever for idle and revs to be normal. probably like 1000 miles. shes mint now tho

It took my truck at least 500 if not 1000 miles to stop throwing that code. It did eventually stay off but it seemed to take FOREVER.

I have the 76mm as well, never had any codes. The idle took a while as well.

I run 70 mm took ten mins all was well I used hi temp silicon and the gasket, I took out a throttle spacer and put this in , seemed equal

Got mine on eBay, came off a 4Runner I believe. There is a thread on here somewhere that’s lists what year you can get them off of.
