I know I tried to order the same cams through Darton right after you did Torspd, no such luck for me. When we have some one who can bring them in reliably I'll pick some up.

Agreed. That is the major problem which deters potential buyers.

I found another place that could be willing. Someone just needs to get in contact with them.

http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/customer_results.asp

They use completely new cores, so the base circles stay true to OEM. Plus they are made in the USA. Means that there won't be near the problem with shipping and customer service.

It is an option, depending on the time frame that you have. When APR built Paul's engine, I am pretty sure that they used Web Camshafts for their specific needs.

They were coated and very nice looking. They have done that for thousands of vehicles. Proven to work, although I can see how there could be a possible downside.

TTC Performance and LC Engineering both use Web Camshafts for their '1GR' cams.

The problem that Southernmost had with his, is as if assembly-lube was never used during assembly and start-up.

If oil or assembly-lube aren't used during assembly, massive scoring or pitting is bound to happen, no matter the brand of camshafts.

Not necessarily. I called up MoserEngineering and asked about having Toyota axle shafts made. They said to send them in. Unrelated part, but similar scenario.

Any one think of asking Dezod or URD? Since they have contacts at Motovicity.

I still have those figurin maybe somebody on here has time n money for em..?:hmmmm2::hmmmm2:

We can help. The prob with US distribution of this cam is that they don't have any info the cam for the 1GR even exists because it's not on the NZ website. So with that being said, we need to go straight to NZ about it. We can get cams made through a variety of channels IF the demand is there.

Oh ziggity zap!!!!

Now the question is, which grinds? Only because the more aggressive grind will require a phase limiter for the intake cam gear.

From initial conversations, grinds will be custom to the customer requests. I'd say lets put together 2-3 different profiles that will yield something prior to needing the intake cam gear limiter.

Those are Web Camshafts. As previously mentioned earlier in the thread. Not the new ones which we strive for. :top:

Not a problem mate. Also, that company used to be a vendor here. Aren't anymore. Not sure if they are still in business, but their prices were higher than the norm on engine components. By a good margin.
