An X Runner lost in HI

Well, this morning started off like every other morning coming into town from Kaneohe.:biggrin: Escept this time a white 92-95 Civic sedan/coupe decided to cut in front of me while in the LikeLike on ramp (the tight left with the wall) and I jammed the brakes with ABS and everything. Next thing I know the rear is swinging out so I countersteered and back end came around the other way and ended up smashing my frontend into the right side wall of the turn. :frown: :frown: :frown: Airbag, auto tensioners deployed. All I could get from the plate was P_ _ _ _ _. F*cken kids:motz: . Guy drove away and I eased the truck to the side. I called the cops and was able to drive to Vineyard where we finished the paper work.:dontknow:

Here's some pics from 6:00 this morning. Went to hospital and doing pretty good except my entire body is sore. I took a look @ the damage and it looks cosmetic, the frame rails are still straight and the crash zone in the frame didn't move. Time for a carbon fiber front end and I guess I can practice the BHL mod on the trashed lights.:top:

Thanks guys. I hope it is just cosmetic. I guess I can practice the BHL mod on these lights since they're trashed. All the tabs broke off. The right side one is in the bed.:rolleyez:

Nah, the white Civic dug out. I was left there in the rain talking to police. It's drivable though. My body's just a little sore from the seat belt and the airbag. Will get fixed in no time. F*cken only 1 month old and 600 mi.:thumpdown:

I'm glad I bought this truck. Kept me safe and will live again.:top: Talked to my insurance co. and they will send an adjuster over probably tomorrow. Best part is (the operator I was talking to was surprised also) 250 dollar deductible.:biggrin: I'll let insurance take care of the damage and hospital bills. I talked to the body shop that helped me with my car on my myspace and he said let the insurance co. get the estimate and then the modding.... Sorry,:wink: repairing can begin.

I was thinking about something else today, too. All the HI X owners are offering to help. Which is greatly appreciated. I'm pretty glad to be part of this group as for the support from other owners across the world.:top: Glad to also be part of this elite crowd of truck enthusists.
