I was blasting down the road the other day, then later I checked the max speed recorded in my GPS and it said 133 MPH. Odd, it would only do 124 before.

i dont know about everyone else but i personally know that the maximum speed is not 124 mph...i think it was 126 mph according to some sources...yeah, yeah i know big difference but i think there is a way to cheat the speed governor to go even faster?.:rolleyez:

GPS is cool and all but last I understood most units arent 100% accurate and accuracy could vary depending on how many satellites the unit is recieving signal from. So to me 124 mph to 133mph recorded with GPS is basically no difference.

If there was, I would be all over that one.

Could you just wire a toggle switch in line with the VSS? Or is there more to it than that?

i've shown a top speed of 680mph on my dad's garmin GPS. if ur driving and an airplane flies through the connection between the satellite and ur vehicle, it will track the planes speed and even more. not saying that this is what happened, but any interference can affect a few mph.
