Does anywhere here have a b & m short shifter instead of the URD? And, how do you like it? Does the angled shaft help when changing gears?

I have B&M SS kit on my Corvette Z06 and LOVE it!! But I've heard that on the Tacos, they really transmit lots of noise & vibration & rattles, etc.

Does anyone here have one to verify? Also what about install difficulty on B&M. I hear TRD is easy. URD is not as easy, but not bad. Gotta stake the set screws & use loctite to keep them from falling into the tranny!!!! This alone makes me not want the URD. With the TRD SS wasn't so darned expensive!!!

The URD SS is easy to install.

I installed mine in 30-40 minutes reading the instructions and I had never done any interior/tranny work on any vehicles before hand.

I wonder if the B&M shifter is easier to get into reverse than the URD :rolleyez:

Yeah, the hard into reverse + 1st thing about SOME of the URD kits is also a reason I'm not going to get one of theirs.

I haven't heard any complaints about TRD going hard into any gears.

B&M has noise & vibration issues from what I heard somewhere.

So it's down to TRD for me...but $300 for a S/S kit is obscene!!!
