I think I remember seeing an X with 315 rear tires and no trimming just longer bolts. I cant rember if they were 19's or 20's. Anyone know whose truck it was?

They were 20" HRE's with 315's, mounted on ARP studs. :top:

Someone might be able to find the link. He put the wheels up for sale, or was it the truck?

Here is a question, what is the WIDEST rear tire I can install that has the same outer diameter as the stock tire?

What is the widest for the stock rims, and if I go aftermarket, what is the widest I can go and what size rim and offset works?

I really need more rubber back there, but want to keep the stock OD.

Big John (DOGSTOY06) had a shop add 2" to his stockers (11" lip-to-lip), but put 275s on them...

I'll be running something stupid wide once my truck is on the road again. Like 14ish wide..

Longer studs are not needed. I installed longer studs but realize after the install it was not necessary. I installed 25mm spacers front and rear and fitted 20x10 in the front and 20x12 on the rear with the offset I was running with the HRE's. 315/35/20 was the width I went with for the rears but with my set up I had, I think I could have gone slightly wider.

Again longer studs are not needed, unless you are against spacers.

This is how it works, more positive camber = more wheel tuck in. More negative camber = more the wheel pushes out of wheel well.

The offset I had for my front HRE's are +53. I added a 25mm spacer which adds negative camber and pushes the wheel out for a more flush look and allows me to run wider tires without rubbing. After adding the spacer my offset is at +28 in the front. (+53 + -25 = +28 offset).

The rear offset for HRE's are +46. (+46 + -25 = +21 offset)

The reason why I had to add spacers to the front to convert the offset is because the offset were too high and caused my wheels to tuck in causing front tires to rub on the sway bar on a full turn. The rears I added spacers to flush with the fender and allow more room for wider tires for an aggressive stance.
I bought the rims from a guy who had it on a Masarati which is why the offset are so odd because the HRE's were specifically made for a Masarati Quatroporte. I simply just change the offset by adding spacers to make it fit with no rub issues on the X-Runner. That is why I say you don't need longer studs, spacers fixed the flush and room in the wheel well for the wider rims and tires I had set up. Or else just buy rims with the right offset. I hope that makes sense.

I got kind of off topic there but ignore the ARP stud thread because longer studs is not necessary to run wider tires or rim.

The widest you can go on tires will depend on the size rim you have.

I finally installed new fronts to match the back.

Stock suspension except for ride assist bags in the back for towing/hauling.

Front - 20"x10" rim, 275/45-20 tire.
Back - 20"x11" rim, 295/45-20 tire.

I love the way it fills the wheel well, handles awesome and I don't worry about bumps or driveways.
I did have to remove the empty box thing mounted to the cab behind the front tire, no idea what it's purpose is. 275/40-20 used to rub that, now nothing touches.
