Well, i haven't driven my truck in a week now so today after work i decided i would take it out to get something to eat with the lady. I start out my road and all the sudden we hear a big ass bang. At first i thought maybe i ran over something but it was to loud for that so at the first street light i stop and look. WOW... i big dent with paint chip :motz: I knew that the house i was going by when the noise was heard had some kids that was outside alot so i immediatly turn around and head back there. Upon pulling in front of the house i see a kid (8-9 yrs old) run around the garage. I get out to go see if the parents were there and no one would come to the door but i could hear the kids in the backyard trying to hide so i go back to tell them that i need to speak with their parents and they tried to lie at first until i asked which one threw something at my truck. After one boy went inside to get his dad he came out and looked at my truck and was very nice about it and we came to the conclusion that the boy that threw something was there visiting with his son so he is going to tell the boys parents and said for me to get an estimate and he would get them to pay for it or if he has to he will. The thing that pisses me off is im not real sure how well this can be fixed without being noticed :hmmmm2: Also, overlook the dirty truck, had snow last week where i work

Steven - that really sucks bro. But you handled it very well and in the right way. The good thing is that you're getting it fixed. Find a good body shop that you know will do a good job and you shouldn't be able to tell in the end.

My brother was sitting on a gravel side street one time and a dood was mowing his yard. He came over into the gravel RIGHT where my brother was sitting and blew rocks ALL OVER the entire side of his car. :banghead: Needless to say, the guy had to pay for a hell of a lot of work and paint.

Have the kids parents contacted you yet?

No not yet, the people that live in the house are kinda taking responsibility aswell and i have all there names and numbers. Im going to get an estimate Monday right after work and then i will contact them again with the bill.

It kinda does, but if you look close enough you can see that it was a rock because theres is more scratch out around the chip aswell (prob. cant see it in the pic) :frown:

Sorry to hear that Steven. Since you're not having to pay for it, make sure you go somewhere that knows what they're doing, even if it costs a lot more.:top:

I saw it on MotorWeek last year. So i dont think im doing that this time around. Hope the kids parents come thru and repair your truck. Excellent choice on the color:top:

Actually that was on there when i bought it. It was part of the toyoguard package they already had installed on the truck. I could care less if they were etched on the window or not but i had no choice. the toyoguard package was another $800 on the sticker for, rubber mats, vin # on windows, toyoguard interior, underbody and paint protectant. IMO it is a big waste of $800 :dontknow: I bet money that my paint, interior and underbody has the same protection as one with out the toyoguard package.

I'm glad the parents took responsibility for their child's actions. Its hard to stay mad at them especially since they're just kids. I remember before when a little boy accidently hit a baseball and it hit my hood of my old car. I was super pissed but couldn't stay mad at the little guy

yea dude those kids, 8-9 yrs age, shot your car with a BB gun, most likely an airsoft gun id guess. My friend's roush got shot up by about 4 of those same dents. i think it wasaround $400 to get them all repaired. it looks perfect now tho.

most likely an airsoft gun.

Not that it matters, but no way was that an airsoft gun, i played airsoft for years, theres no way even an upgraded gun could do that kind of damage. Little dents yes, but not that

I would have to say that looks like the
work of a Wrist Rocket or Sling Shot.
And if if was a pellet gun or BB gun
the thats a misdemeanor offense at least where I live, and that
means a court date and a fine if you called the Police.
Man those kid are damn lucky this isn't Singapore,
they would be caned.
Remember that kid Michael Peter Fay?
