Car shows? Who goes?

How many of you guys go to shows with your XR? If so, what have you done to your X and how do you prep for the show? Im planning on going to some over the summer, my friend will probably go too and he has a 2004 Roush Stage 2. Im just wondering if im up to snuff! Ive done quite a few things and by the summer i hope to have either a tonneau cover or black 20's, or if im really lucky, both :wink:

5 shows so far for me, and 5 wins.
It all depends on which class they stick you in, and what mods you have.
I suggest making sure EVERY wire under your hood has wire loom on it so you arent looking at bare wire. other then that, make sure all your installs are CLEAN

I got a question in the lines of this. I too have been thinking of entering my x in a few shows but i all was chicken out because I'm not sure on how to prep the truck or if she is up to par for a show. What do you think?

Display is important.
If you dont have trophies to put out with your vehicle, get some stuff together that goes well. It really depends on what kind of show, etc.
I have been doing car shows for about 15 years, so I have a little experience...
Which shows are you guys looking at going to so I can do some research on them?

i wouldn't mind entering the show...even if i had a chance of winning, i would want every bell and whistle to blow the competition away...

I go to 2-3 show's and cruises every week during the summer. Heven't been with the XR yet - got her at the end of this past season and most cruises were over by then. Here's a pic of my '55 at the BCA (Buick Club of America) East Coast National this summer.

I think the key to any show is being CLEAN! No stuffed animals, blinking strobes, or thumping bass. Just have her sitting there like a trophy! :top:

welll its not a 4x4 those are street tires...just reallly big ones...thats my friend nathan who lives in texas at the moment
