So I just bought a clay bar kit to do up my truck nice for Sunday. I will be showing it in a EP car show (biggest of the year).

Those that have used this, can you please give me some tips. I know I got to see BlackCat do Sean's in Tucson a while back, but really wasn't paying to much attention.

Thanks .... :top:

Which kit did you get? Usually you just use the spray or cleaner that comes with it. Mold the clay into a ball and flatten it. The spray a section and rub the clay over that section. You'll notice it's gonna stick while rubbing the clay bar. It will at one point start to be really easy. That's when you can stop and move to a different section. Right after you do the whole truck. You wash it and then make sure to wax it right after.

That's about it. If you didn't get a spray with your clay bar kit, you can use soapy water. It works too.

Yea thats pretty much it its really simple.

1. Wash your car first with dish soap so it removes all the old wax.
2. Make sure to use the pray it came with to dampen the area, more is better
3. Ball the clay up and just rub it until its glides nice and smooth
4. Do small areas at a time so that the area will stay wet with quick wax/ lubricant
5. After your all done i like to do a good base way and then a nice fine glossy to fallow up the whole thing.

Dude you will be so tired and over it by the time your done but its well worth it!
