clutch squeak returning

please include only your name if you have gotten your clutch squeak fixed once before and it has come back. it seems the general consensus is that it comes back after 6-7 months and is usually worse than it was originally.

multiple posts from the same user will be removed as well as side stories. i am only wanting to get a count of people who have gotten this fixed and had it return.

if i am able to get enough names, i will take this to Toyota corporate and see what they can/will do about it.

Had it fixed then mine came back about 3 months later doing some loud groaning. But once I readjusted the nut at the bottom then ran some thread lock to stop it from moving again it's been quiet. Going on a year now:dontknow:

mmm manny 08 uhh been doing that since about mayish of this year and ive noticed it only gets real squecky if the truck has been in the sun for a while...

I've only noticed mine on hot days when the truck has been parked in the sun for a while,,, Then I get like a combo squeak rub sound and I can feel it in the pedal like it's rubbing on some soft rubber.....

Mine was squeaking and I tried lubricating it, but it would eventually come back. I ended doing what tacoturbo suggested what he did to his. So far it has not returned since. If it starts to all you have to do is rotate it again.

I think I found the problem and solution. The clutch pedal arm is a composite (plastic) material and the pivot point on the plunger shaft mates in the back. What I've noticed is that over time the shaft has a tendency to rotate alittle, enough so that the pivot point binds and causes a creak that is heard and felt in the pedal as it's depressed. Mine creaked and vibrated on the first initial travel of 1 1/2 to 2 inches. All I did was to rotate (center) the shaft untill it felt like it was in the pocket again. Squeak, creak and vibration is gone. The cure was instant and has not returned for 2 months now. As an experiment I rotated the shaft as if it was out of line and the creak returned. To me the problem is identified and solved on my X. Try this it may work and save you a trip to the dealer. BTW, I didn't lube the pivot at all. I hope this helps. The creaky cluch drove me nuts!

Corys 06. Have a squek under the truck too sounds like a piece of rubber that is dry and needs lubrication. Only hear it when i push in and let out the clutch pedal

06 RR 48k miles. I have given up on getting this fixed. It only does it sometimes and when it does I turn my radio up. LOL

Thanh 08 bsp w/ 26k. now that is cooler in az, it doesn't creak as much. but when it was hot, creaking was louder.

yea on mine its like a squeek chirp kinda thing but if i press slighty on my clutch it goes away if i let go it squeeks i want to go get it fixed but im afraid it will come back they should do a recall or somthing about it (2005 w/72,000 miles )
