Debadging the tailgate.

How do you debadge? I was thinking of using a hairdryer on high to help soften up the adhesive.:dontknow:

mine came off fairly easy with out any extra help. it was about 80 outside when i done it. you just have to take your time and lift slowly :)

you dont really need a hair dryer ... just use dental floss ... and work your way through ... make sure you have extra ... cuz they are gonna snap ... :top:

i just took it off lol haha use what ever he says..and make sure to clean the tailgate afterwards!

I used a hair dryer cuz mine was in the garage and it's air conditioned. Just heat it up a little bit and use floss or some fishing line to take it off. Once it's off, get all the remaining residue off and then apply a few coats of wax.

Im thinking of Debadging Mine ... Just Leave X-Runner ... cuz i kinda like How yours Came Out Rizzo :top:

use a blow dryer and some fishing line. pull up and go slowly. once off apply goo gone or some adhesive remover and wax+polish

I am one of the few I guess that actually likes the badges in back:dontknow: The de-badged look does look clean but I like the look of the color matched badging. Plus I get enough of the is that the new Chevy Xtreme as it is:rolleyez::laugh:

Is there any way to reapply them after removal? Just thought of an idea but want to know if its possible.

Not that I know of, but you can purchase them new from the dealer and they probably have a piece that you peel off the back and then stick it wherever you want.

Um. maybe some heavy duty 3m double sided tape. it's gray and wrapped around in red.

i took off my girlfriends moms emblems on a Nissan Altima ... but there is a lot of glue ... i put glue gone ... but still ... what can i do ... i removed some with a razor blade ... but i dont wanna scratch the paint ... even if its silver ... any answers??? :dontknow:

oka so let me get this straight ...

1. all emblems are off ... but still has a lot of glue
2. heat up the remaining glue and put that goo off thingy
3. wax away

correct Sir Rizzo?
