Dimmer Wire for Head Unit.

Where do I attach this wire so that it will dim with the dash.:dontknow: I purchased the adapter for the head unit, didnt wire to stock wiring. Thanks

Did you get a wiring harness? It should have the diagram up there.

Another note, what unit did you get?

JVC Arsenal Deck. I did get a harness. There is an illumination wire which has a corresponding wire. But none for the dimmer. I read on another forum that there is no wire, and to cap it off.

I have never used the dim wire in all my many years of puttin in systems. hope someone can help. good luck brotha.

I tired to wire my kenwood in to dim didn't work but might have had wrong setting so going try it again! But my deck has navi and I have it set to dim when it goes to sunset on it!

It depends on the HU. Some HU's have them and some don't. If it does, it's usually the orange wire with a white line on it. Or it might even have it tagged as dimmer. haha! If you don't see one on the HU, the most likely it doesn't have it.
