From Toyota Nation

I personally dont want them but for those that do....

http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t170607.html

DRL mod is all done the right way with all factoty parts,,,,

it is very easy to do,,,,,

You will need 2 parts:
Qty 1 - 82241-04030 is a small jumper harness with 2 plugs on it
Qty 1 - 81980-35020 is the DRL/flasher relay

you remove the stock flasher and plug in the jumper harness were the flasher goes and remove the gray plug just below the flasher...plug in the other plug on the jumper to the spot the gray plug was and then snap the DRL relay to the streering column side of the fuse block and plug jumper harness into the relay..you now have DRL's ,,,,they turn on when you start the truck and release park brake,,,work with park lights and turn off with the headlights on,,,,,

no cutting and having possible warranty problems down the road,,,,,

for less than 55 bucks

Here is a DIY for the installation of the factory DTRL.
Part # 82241-04030 ( wire harness)
and # 81980-35020 (Relay)

I paid $51.13 including shipping at www.TRDparts4U.com. Same place everyone ordered their parts from.
$11.14 - wire Harness -#82241-04030
$30.00- DTRL relay - #81980-35020
$9.99- shipping
-------------------
$51.13 TOTAL

If you install DRL's in a vehicle, does that count as a little break on insurance? like alarms and such?

DRL's aren't custom. especially if its an actual Toyota part. if it saves me a few bucks a month that's more money towards mods :top:
