Ferry Cruise In July!

Alright guys! So I put this out there now so we can save some money! The Super Ferry starts service in July of this year. For now it is going only to Maui and Kaui. I believe it's $90 - $100 bucks for us to take our trucks over. Which means almost $200 bucks round trip. I say we make a weekend of it and Wake up early one morning...drive our trucks on the Ferry and head on over to Maui or Kaui! Meet up with other Taco owners there and cruise the other island. Then we camp out or something (to make up for the price of the ferry) and head back to Oahu the next day. How does that sound? I know we could spend our money on our trucks...but how many people can actually take their car across water to another island for a cruise!

yup ! was just messing around with the sinking sh!t :laugh: would make a cool picture too ! to see a bunch of Tacoma trucks on the boat :biggrin: you know we gotta invite all our friends man ! is this idea up on CT ?

how long does this thing take? can you just ship your car ahead of time and fly over?

It's about 2 - 3 hours long. If you are gonna ship you car there on the ferry...you might as well go with it cause you boat fair is included with the price. Plus there is stuff on the boat to do as well. There is bars, shops, arcades, to kill time.

I think if we can really get this going...This might be the coolest cruise ever!

The boat can carry 866 people and a max. of 282 cars.

If there are huge rig trucks on it...then it can hold 28 forty-foot trucks and 65 cars or trucks.

we cant just stay for a day...it should be a weekend thing. like get on the ferry friday morning and be back by sunday...enough time for work or school...

I wouldnt trust some stranger driving my truck. Not sure on the time to get there, but they did say something like 4 hours to get to Hilo. So i would think Kauai maybe an hour and a half. maybe. Depends on the ocean conditions. I saw that boat on the news a few weeks back and its huge. Might be fun driving on Kauai. Maui to crowded imo..

You drive it on and off. At first they were saying that they would have someome drive it on...but they didn't want more liability issues.

As for Hilo...they did say 4 hours but that won't happen til 2009.
