Seriously, both of us were 12+ hrs last year :ahhhhh:

i tossed up a deals gap trip idea, NC/TN

Like I told you in chat the other night, if David and I are going to plan it, it's going to be in an area we can both drive to for a long weekend. Deals Gap looks great, but it's 18+ hrs for me, and 13+ for David. Not to be selfish but if we're going to plan it we're both going to want to be able to 1) attend and 2) bring our trucks with us.

Hopefully its soon have to have my vacation request in by this friday...

that was brought up last year and i think the issue is planning, there were no members that stepped up from that area to help out, and unless we get insider info its tough to plan an event where where people haven;t been.

This has been the issue for most of these events. It's incredibly difficult to plan an event when you live hundreds of miles away.

Believe it!! The issue is not locating members is locating members who are willing to work with the moderators to set up the event. With many people drive 10+ hours one way to get there an organized event is much appreciated!!! It's these great events that make this forum what it is!!

With so many new members I don't see why not meet at an old spot, seems like there is a half way to xfest meet beig planned for the spring in va beach so Williamsburg is out, I would be down for hitting up Hershey or TN!

I looked at some stuff about deals gap this morning they offer a lot of stuff to do, it looked pretty cool but KY would probably be more central for everyones drive

lots of things to do and drives to take around deals as well. i know its a long drive but could be worth it.

nothing to do in KY and the Mods def dont want to drive that far

It doesnt really matter where it is to me as long as I don't have to get a passport I'll be there, i think somewhere like Atlantic City would be fun, just my 2 cents

If you wanna do PA (ie Hershey, Pittsburgh, or the Poconos) let me know and I'll help set it up. You guys know whats in Hershey. Pittsburgh there is alot to do (Science Center, Casino, Amusement Park, ext) but would have to do the cruise outside of town so that we dont get split up. Usually all the car meet things i go to downtown are at night to avoid traffic. And Poconos is a nice woodsy type theme, camping, rafting, paintballing, hiking, and alot of backroads.



Deals Gap would be sweet but would have to book a bit more vacation to do that. Beaches are always fun too (Myrtle Beach SC, VA Beach, Outer Banks NC, or Ocean City MD). I think it would be cool to get a house in the Outer Banks and do a cruise up through the islands.
