First off, my "street racing" is only to 60, regardless of how fast the car keeps going. It's illegal, but not THAT illegal :)

I promise I am not even lying about this one second. I just pulled in from a race about 5 minutes ago. It was raining and I was following a Porsche 911 (year?) and a Dodge Ram (newest body style) I couldn't see much cause it is dark. At the first stop light behind them both, the 911 revved at the Ram and they both took off at the light, obviously the Ram got smoked to 60.

Next light I tried to get up there but traffic was in the way, and the Ram just followed the 911 to the next light and they both switched to the right lane. I stayed in the left and pulled up next to the 911.

Once I was up there I played it cool. I looked at the light perpendicular to see if it was yellow yet; still green. I looked forward and made sure not to rev, thinking if I did, this punk would want to smoke my azz. However, I turned my music off and gave a listen. Sure enough he revved at me and pulled up to the stripe. I followed suit, but kept my rpms on 1,500 (it was raining).

Bam!! The light turns green and I was about 3/4 a car lengths ahead at the end of 1st, shifted into 2nd at about 5 grand and listened for his shift. He didn't miss, but it was looong. I left it in second and hit 50, now a car length ahead... then the unthinkable happened. A dang old man was riding his bike about 200 feet in front of me across my lane, in the rain!! I had no choice but to slow down and the 911 flew by and got off the exit.

I'm not sure if it is my superior driving in the rain skills (coming from Florida) , his possible spinning of his tires (which didn't seem like he did), or his long shift, but I am going to go ahead and chalk this up as 2-0 on the street (even though I should have gotten my azz handed to me).

I'm pretty stoked right now.

ps. My first win was against a 03-05 ish Caddy with a Northstar V8 (badge on side gave it away).

pss. And don't hate, I know he either sucks at driving, or sucks at driving... cause I should have my tail between my legs right now. But I don't, and I won!!! So let's just pretend like XR's are faster than 911's for one night :)

edit: lucke informed me i probably raced a carrera, not a 911, which is turbo'd

nice kill.. i guess :eviltongue: j/k

See if that would have been me pulling up beside a 911 i would have revved on him and then when the light turned green i would have just sat there and watched him take off like a bad ass because i know i dont stand a chance

its possible that it was just a carrera, those things are pure crap. i smoke "rich" bastards in newport beach all the time. those old guys think they're the sh*t, then get their asses handed to them by a stock truck :hahaha:

do you remember if it had holes/vents on the side? if it did, it was a turbo, and most likely your win would be chalked up to really poor shifting (instead of the rain because of the 911-turbo's AWD)

either way, nice...

i actually thought about that later after i posted. it may not have been a 911 because i'm almost positive it didn't have the vents. so i guess this was a good win??:dontknow:

This is what I love about this board compared to CT...positive replies. If this was CT, people would be hating on us so bad already lol.

So true. I'm so tired of CT and all the childish posts. So far happy here.

Very nice win. :top: :driver:
Must say im a little impressed. Not sure I would have gone up against a late model 911. If the guy can drive Id think you would have a contest.
Guess Steven and I are in the same boat.

FYI, there are several variations in the 911 family. Carreras, Targas, and of course the infamous turbos.

its the street and ANYTHING can happen.
Just cause someone got a fast car doesnt mean they can drive it fast.

I remember back in the day this punk had his daddies Viper he raced this kid with his old muscle car..but it wasnt fst by anymeans. I think it ran like a 14.2 and he ended up beating the viper cause the kid is just a punk. Now his daddy bought him and his brother hummers. I cant stand them they think they are the sh*t

Off rant here good while back they had a party..underage and 3 people left underage as well drunk. Well the kid wrecked and a boy and 2 girls died because of it. nothering ever happened to him cause his daddy probably paid some money.
If i was the father of one of those kids...I probably would have killed them.

thats cool and all, but, i still cant go past 1/4 throttle when its wet, its not me, its the traction, or lack there of.

i suppose you should give me driving lessons too, since you are as fast to sixty as i was when i had my blower

You drive here to Texas and you'll have all the rain you need so I can teach :top:

As far as to 60, I think XRobber was my only real competition for a short while. I'm just a big talker

I'm sure the Ram was happy to see someone smoke the punk's butt, except then he probably got mad because he had two extra cylinders and whole lot more power and still couldn't get the job done.

All in all I reaffirmed a very important fact. Dodge blows & Porsche drivers are old, mid-life crisis geezers that can't drive. :bird:
