So, the scary voice that tells me and everyone around me what site I am sniffing over, how do I turn that off.

Not the most work safe upgrade.

It is very nice, but like damn, every time I click???

Hey Gadget!... I had the same problem. Just mess around on the site for a while and it will go away. K2 said it's on a timer...so it will only play if you delete your cookies. If you don't delete you cookies, it will continue to play.

The sound addition should only play the first time that you visit the site (after the upgrade). It sets a cookie to let the site know that you have heard it - and it should not play again - unless you clear your cookies. If you have cookies turned off... it will continue to play. This was the best solution that I could find to include the sound, but only have it play 1 time.

Hey - I agree and know that it would be annoying as hell to play every time you went to a new page. Keep in mind, that I would hear it too and then bludgeon my ears out after about the 10th time. It's a great clip, but good things can quickly and easily be overdone and I recognize that.

It played when I 1st opened the site, after i logged in, and when i clicked on a forum thread. I've only made 3 clicks so far... checking to see how long it continues to do it now :)

Sorry about the annoyance guys. I run Firefox and put that sound file in somewhat hastily. I tested it thoroughly in Firefox but not in IE. Let me take a peek at the PHP and see what's going on. If I can't find a resolution within the hour - I'll remove it.

I'm going to be doing some testing here for a bit some things may get a little weird.

Alright... I removed the "scary" voice until I can figure out why IE won't let me set cookies through Flash. I've used the same technique a million times but maybe there's some conflict with VBulletin.

If you are still hearing the sound clip - clear your cache and refresh.

For those of you that haven't tried Firefox, I strongly recommend you give it try. I used to be diehard IE but after giving Firefox a good chance (2-3 weeks of usage), I'll never use IE again. Firefox is, hands down, a better browser.

I agree there. But even if i install it, i still (by habit alone) click on IE when i want to surf the web.

Thanks K2!
