My office moved across town about 2 months ago. I was excited. New building - closer to home (5 mins) - on the good side of town. What I didn't think about is that there are three schools along my short 5-6 mile route in the morning and it's a two lane road. It now takes me longer to get to work in the morning that it did when I worked 20 miles away downtown. :motz:

So what's you commute? Tell your story. Thank God I have a DVD player in the truck so I can watch movies while sitting in traffic.

I can get to work in about 35 mins but i have a mountain that i have to climb each and everyday. its like 34 miles one way but its all interstate :top: Before i get to the interstate, if i don't time it just right i will get stuck in the school traffic so i have figured out leaving just alittle later will be quicker than leaving early and sitting in traffic

Well it was 10 minutes when I lived with the old parents but now that I live with my girlfriend it's 45 to 50 minutes.

I have a company truck and I start getting paid as soon as I walk out my front door and get in my truck. I don't know where I am going until I log on to the computer in my truck. Typically my first job is within 5 miles of my house. Lately I have been having to go to a different city to work which is about 1.5 hour commute one way because of traffic. At least I get paid for sitting in traffic.:top:

My other two jobs I had were both 3-4 minutes from my house. This current one is about 25 minutes away, 20 on a good day.

It takes me about 10 minutes to get to school even though I live less than 5 miles away. Mostly the back streets take the longest.

I walk out the door of my dorm room, down a flight of stairs and I'm on campus. So that's like 15 seconds lol.
