I have the SOS 1.5/2 kit on my truck. I bottom out the front and rear when I hit hard bumps. I am thinking of getting the C2C (XRC) kit from Rob and selling my SOS. For the rear I was thinking of getting the mini C-notch from DJM. What do you think of this? Does the C2C (XRC) bottom out over hard bumps?

it doesnt matter what kit you have. You WILL bottom out in the back. I have the c2c kit in the front, but I've never bottomed out.

BTW- i was stationed in Darmstadt for 2 years

If I get the c-notch from DJM why do you think I will still bottom out in the back?

Is Darmstadt near Frankfurt?

the solution to the front bottoming out is the C2C kit. I've had it for a while now and have yet to bottom out and i've driven on dirt roads with huge potholes and such as well and unwantingly taken some big bumps. the back only bottoms out once in a while. as long as u don't go over speed bumps hard, u should be ok.

take off your rear bump stops- thats the only thing i did that worked well. even the low pro stops i hit all the time, but with none, i never heard the axle tap.

ps yes the djm would solve allll your issues.

the brake proportioning valve clears my bed. the angled blocks moved the axle forward about 1/3 inch, which made it clear all that junk.

The C2C 1.75" Kit never bottoms out in the front...however the rear 2" blocks tends to bottom out on speed bumps at medium speeds. So if you want to eliminate all bottoming out go with the DJM rear kit

Here is a solution...buy the C2C kit and the c-notch from DJM like you mentioned and then sell me your SOS kit. :top:

Take the rear bump stop mounts off and put a low-pro bumpstop(1/2") on the frame itself. I have yet to hit since I did that. Why you are hitting in the front so bad with an sos kit I have no idea!

does the cnotch not take away from the rigidity of the frame?
