Whats your opinion on these wheels for a SWB? they are only 98.00 per wheel. 18" by 7.5" with a 45 offset. 5x4.5

... 45 offset is like for a front wheel drive. I wouldnt go any less than 20 - 25. I have 10 offset and they are flush with the fender flares.

With a 8.5" wheel, 35 offset is good. With 9.5", 42 is good. If you go down to something like 25 or less you will see everything you drive over across the side of the truck as it will be flung past the fender flares. Goodbye pain, hello chips etc. The flares on this truck are wider at the top and narrower as you go down the fender. Stand 20 feet in front or behind the truck and look at how much tread actually is outside the fenders stock! If it's a showtruck you never drive in the rain ever, you can get the wheels to stick out farther.

i think you should choose wheels based more on a quality wheel rather than just looks, yea it might be more expensive at first, but you will be a lot happier with them, and you'll avoid having to buy another set later one because you were disappointed, dmc did a good job for choosing iforged, for example

x2. It's better to buy once right then buy twice. If you are in the market for wheels start saving up some dough so you have more options besides the cheapest wheels. In the meantime you can paint your stockers to give a different look while you are saving:top:
