well i went to a local muffler place and they are charging me $216 total ... for a flowmaster super 40 ... with a escalade tip ... is it worth it???:dontknow:

the muffler should cost 100 by itself, a tip is usually less than 40 bucks, so the rest is probably labor, so see if their work is worth 76 dollars . . .

i got my flowmaster 40 series muffler for $60.00 and installed for 100.00 total! no hook-ups

The muff is easily $100 and tips can be pretty expensive. I say go for it.:top:

:dontknow: i dont know my muffler shop told me 145 for a magnaflow 3 inch pipes from the cat back and an escalade tip . but i have got alot of stuff done by them

Make sure they are using STAINLESS tubing like stock or you will be putting more exhaust on in 2 years!

the tip is more than the muffler why are you going with the escalade tip? i reused the trd tip

im using the Denali tip cuz i want to fill up that oval on the side ... to much open space

I'm in no hurry at the moment anyways, the exhaust is still on the truck... I figure the sooner someone wants to buy it, the more motivated i will be to finally buy the URD 3"

sounds just about right...if it's a genuine Cadillac tip than yes.Cause depending on the tip, the tip sometimes cost more than the muffler itself.
