Has anyone here had bad experiences with JBA headers? I'm seriously thinking of getting a set but I am concerned about blowing gaskets.
Any input is appreciated
Thanks

First i have heard... not heard anything bad about the ones for our trucks, other than some minor install issues

Is there any dyno-proven gains for these? Sound change in the exhaust? I'm very highly considering getting a set, but dumping money on headers doesn't make much sense if there is minimum or little gain.

Also, what were the 'minor install issues' ?

I dont believe there direct bolt on.. they require some welding but i don't think its anything any muffler shop would have a problem with:top:

i don't recall exactly what it was that had to be welded tho

I wonder if it involves cutting the cats off and welding them on. Kind of looks like the catalytic converters are one piece with the manifolds. I could be wrong:dontknow: :dontknow:

I believe the cats have to be cut off the stock manifolds and welded to the headers. My only thought is, I would have entirely stainless exhaust (URDY and Cat back) , stainless headers, and a rusty cat :dontknow:
