SignUp Now!left crutchfield about 20 mins ago, ordered the 3rd kenwood 2 channel amp and a pair of blaupunkt 12" subs.my question is would i get better bass bouncing the sound off the headliner or just pointing them forward?:dontknow:
Even if you dont have mods to do, come down next weekend... We can also do your headlights if they arent done yet..I would if I had all necessary components but need more cash.maybe ready by end of april.the link to the box is in my buckethead !
I think we can do that... if so, you need to bring the outlet you want to use (unless we are removing the one in the bed), and the switch you want as well.got time for the inverter ,plugs and switch in the console mod??:top:
I dont suggest a ported enclosure in a truck. I requires a much larger box, and in the XR we are already dying for space in the back seat. It also requires a lot more power in a ported enclosure.I meant have the subs in the box like normal but have the face of the subs firing down torwards the floor (make sure you have like a 2 or 3 inch space between the box and the floor). I have had that setup before and was very happy with it... it also protects the subs from damage cause they are out of sight... I think its a clean looking setup also... and on another note in a truck I think you get more deeper bass using a ported enclosure.... :top: I had this setup running two 8'' subs firing down with a ported enclosure and I was hitn 141 db... Now that some serious BASS for 8s... Hope this helps you out and clears up my first post:top:
no, all that comes off the inverter.remember back that post of the mod that came from toyotanation?
Yeah cheez, but we are talking about a pair of 12's here broi have a ported box in my truck and its not that big and it sounds great for one 10

rob ,cheez, nick, heres what I'm doing.I'm removing the entire back seat for good.the box will be the same out side dimensions of the removed rear seat.hieght, depth, width wise.the subs will be in box inside of the big box pointing up so the port won't be a prob.the 3 kenwood amps will be end to end across the width of the box at floor level or just about the height the the bottom of the seat box is now.will have 2 storage niches one either side behind the seats.small about 8" by 14" big enough for my printer to fit in.getting a visual yet?
