the newest thing we havn't done yet, though r pondering is drilling out the rivets in the stock bump stop mount and removing that entire mount, then mount a bump stop directly on the frame giving another 2 inches of travel.. this will retain stock ride and suspension travel.

Which bump stops should I pick up? 1" or the shorty flat ones? Gonna do my SOS kit pretty soon. But I got DJM blocks for the rear.

I bought the flattest bump stops I could find. The stock ones are under 2" tall. If you put in a 2" block, you're never gonna get all your suspension travel back, unless you notch the frame.

With 2" blocks and the stock bump stops, I measured about 3/4" (that's three-quarters of an inch) of suspension travel, so needless to say, I bottomed out on everything.

I bought Energy Suspension model 9.9132 which is 3/8" tall, the smallest they make. (In red, of course.. because red is faster.)

Well since it's only 3/8" tall and there's not much material to 'give', it hits a little hard when it does bottom out. But it's better than no bump stops, or leaving the stock ones in and bottoming out on everything :)

Yeah, well in Hawaii, it seems i bottom out a lot because the roads here are just ridiculous.

Yeah, Hawaii roads suck. I guess I'll be paying Ron's a visit. LOL I guess better to hit urethane than to dent the axle housing... No lye, I've seen it happen.

dang almost a year later...

has anyone replaced their front bump stops? im thinkin about pullin mine out and finding a smaller replacemet, that'll yield another inch of travel which would make the C2C kit ride 100% like stock as far as suspension travel goes..

I was thinking about changing the front bump stops and seeing if the ES ones fit without mod. But im too lazy to try at the moment. Maybe I'll give it a shot when i change my oil.
